Although she’s been performing “End Of Time” during recent live shows it appears that Beyoncé is bypassing the song as her next video. What? No! Fans recently captured some photos from the newest video shoot—reportedly for the Andre 3000-assisted track “Party”—in scenic South Brunswick, New Jersey. And once again, we’re scratching our heads at these decisions behind the official singles off 4. B was seen at the Oakdale Mobile Home Park with band of colorfully dressed dancers, as we’ve come to expect, including sister Solange and Kelly Rowland. The song is rooted in ’80s throwback synths, so the presence of hot muscle cars and casual neighborhood hangouts certainly conveys Andre’s nostalgic sentiments of the days spent kicking it at the food court and eating an endless supply of gyros. Check out these fan shots, below.
Let’s make things clear: a Beyoncé video is always a good thing. But how do we feel about “Party,” yet another midtempo track, as the next big push? We still haven’t gotten a unanimously adored single, although the video for “Run The World (Girls)” made us reevaluate our initial thoughts, thanks to Beyoncé and her magical thigh muscles. But we’ve also grown so much more than accustomed to “End Of Time” ever since she killed it at the Glastonbury Festival in June. Was that just a tease? Way harsh, B. Whether it an effort to quell the fears of concerned fans or to continue her bountiful generosity, B is reportedly filming another clip off her new album. (She could never let us down completely.) According to Complex, Beyoncé will shoot a video for the euphoric steel-drum epic “Countdown,” with help from her “Sweet Dreams” director Adria Petty. Cue the celebratory marching band and pop the champagne. Two videos are certainly better than one, but “Countdown” was also an instant favorite here at Popdust, so let’s just hope she gets it right.
