O People’s Choice Awards não é propriamente a premiação mais respeitada de todas, até porque não existe um corpo de jurados e nem especialistas, nada mais é do que uma escolha do público. Mesmo assim, é importante para a indústria saber a nossa opinião, e os fãs já encaram a premiação como uma gincana para ver quem consegue colocar seu filme ou série favorita no topo. Este ano, os fãs de Harry Potter conseguiram colocar o oitavo e último filme do bruxo no topo da lista, que levou para a casa o prêmio de Melhor Filme.

Outra demonstração de união dos fãs foi a escolha de Supernatural como a melhor série de drama, eu não estou aqui para julgar, apenas destacar o trabalho dos fãs, que é de se louvar. Destaque ainda para Person of Interest, uma série pouco falada que levou o prêmio de Melhor Nova Série Dramática, um paradoxo entre o fanatismo e a razão.

Também tivemos escolhas desastrosas com Ryan Reynolds como o Melhor Super-Herói pelo seu trabalho em Lanterna Verde. Sério pessoas que vocês votaram nele?

Dating Rules From My Future Self Web Series

Can’t wait for the winter premiere of Gossip Girl next week? This might hold you over until you can get your fix! The producers of your fave Upper East Side drama have launched a new web series called Dating Rules From My Future Self. The story follows a 20-something app developer (played by Shiri Appleby) who starts receiving texts from her future self that guide her through dating. Wouldn’t an app like this really benefit some of GG’s characters (*cough, Blair!)?

Also in the series is Taylor Kinney from The Vampire Diaries and Bryce Johnson from Pretty Little Liars. There will be a new episode featured on the Dating Rules Facebook page every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Check it out at Facebook.com/DatingRules.

Get to Know Penn Badgley

What does Penn Badgley have in common with a tennis ball? A lot actually.

The actor’s moniker came after his father bounced a Penn tennis ball while feeling frustrated about choosing a baby name. After seeing his son’s ultrasound, Papa Badgley commented how much his son looked like a tennis ball–and boom–the rest is history. Thankfully, we no longer see the resemblance.

Although he didn’t grow up to become the male equivalent of Serena Williams, Penn did finish high school at just 14 and dabbles in music, like many of his Gossip Girl costars. The Baltimore-born actor packed his bags for Hollywood at 11, and landed a gig on The Young and the Restless. Behind the long locks, you may also recognize him as Scott Tucker in John Tucker Must Die.

Keeping the ball rolling, Penn continued to appear on the big screen in The Stepfather and the soccer fanatic even joined forces with Brad Pitt to champion bringing the FIFA World Cup to the United States in 2018 or 2022.

Oh, and–shh!–his guilty pleasure isn’t writing novels in Brooklyn; it’s watching Friends reruns.

All you Dair fans out there can start getting excited! Perez Hilton is reporting on some newly surfaced spoilers saying that Dan Humphrey’s feelings for Blair will finally be exposed in an upcoming episode of Gossip Girl.

We hear that Blair is going to uncover some amazingly sweet wedding vows from Louis, except they were written by Dan! Will Gossip Girl break the news to the Upper East Side first? Probs. Will Blair not marry Louis because of it? We’ll see!
